01 / Our story

From maintenance specialist to one-stop partner.

Apex Lift Pte Ltd began in February 2023 as Liftcare Pte Ltd, founded by two senior managers from Hitachi Elevator Engineering (S) Pte Ltd. In March 2025, the company was rebranded as Apex Lift Pte Ltd to reflect a broader ambition: to be a complete vertical transportation partner for Singapore and the region.

We started as a small maintenance provider for lifts and escalators. Today, we are a one-stop solutions provider — designing, supplying, installing, commissioning, maintaining, modernising, and refurbishing lift and escalator systems across multiple manufacturers

The people behind Apex Lift.

Ray Tan

Managing Director
Ray brings over 25 years of experience in architecture and project management in Singapore. Before joining Apex Lift, he held senior appointments at HUAY Architects, Fragrance Group, and Far East Organization, leading notable developments from inception to completion — including Orchid Hotel, Esta Ruby Condominium, Punggol Settlement, and Victory Centre. His depth in real estate and business administration is a defining asset of the company. Ray holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the National University of Singapore.

Desmond Chia

Executive Director, Projects
Desmond brings more than a decade of experience in the elevator and escalator industry. His career spans engineering and project management roles at Hitachi Elevator (Singapore), TK Elevator (Singapore), and Fujitec (Singapore), where he has overseen the full project lifecycle — installation, modernisation, testing, and commissioning. His broad exposure and technical command are pivotal in keeping Apex Lift’s delivery sharp end-to-end. Desmond holds a Diploma in Electronics, Computer & Communications Engineering from Nanyang Polytechnic.

Tan Hai Wei

Executive Director, Maintenance & Modernisation
Hai Wei has more than 15 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry, with particular depth in code compliance. His career at Schindler (Singapore), Chevalier (Singapore), and TK Elevator (Singapore) has been defined by the execution of strategy across modernisation and service operations, with a sharp focus on time and cost efficiency. Hai Wei holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the University of Wolverhampton.

Patrick Wong

Director, Maintenance & Modernisation
Patrick was the managing director and co-founder of Liftcare Pte Ltd, now Apex Lift. With more than four decades of experience in the elevator and escalator industry — including a senior career at Hitachi Elevator (Singapore) — Patrick brings deep technical and business administration expertise that anchors the long-term stability of the company. He holds a Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic.

Lionel Tan

Director, Maintenance & Modernisation
Lionel was the managing director and founder of FB Industries Pte Ltd. With over 40 years of experience across Fujitec (Singapore) and Chevalier (Singapore), his technical command and business judgement are central to the longevity of Apex Lift’s offering. He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic.
